The best and the worst of Thursday night TV

I love, love, LOVE the NFL Network. For the past few weeks, they've run "classic" NFL games on Thursday nights, showing the games in full. Two weeks ago, it was the Jets 2000 comeback against the Dolphins on Monday Night Football. Last week, it was Buffalo's record-setting comeback against the Houston Oilers in a 1993 playoff game.
Tonight is the Raiders-Patriots "snow bowl", the game that put Tom Brady on the map as the luckiest sumbitch on earth, and contained what is probably the biggest blown call by a referee thanks to instant replay.

On the other hand, the local PBS channel is showing "Gregorian Live", billed as modern songs as interpreted by a Gregorian choir. I just flipped to it: a group of "monks" in silver Lurex robes with headset mikes, singing Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

Oh, the humanity!
