It is frickin hot here (90+) degrees, and the locals are talking about the "cool fall temperatures". Y'all are just nuts.
The good thing about business trips: the cheap (or at this particular hotel, free) drinks at the hotel bar during happy hour.
The bad thing: see above.
I took a break from work at 6:30, figuring I would have a drink, eat dinner, and return to work around 8:00. The bardender was breaking out the good stuff (Smirnoff vidka, Jim Beam bourbon), and wasn't being skimpy with it. Well, after 3 vodka gimlets (or maybe 4; the bartender was refilling my glass without my noticing) within an hour or so, there's no way in hell I was going to try driving. I guess I'll just call it an early night, and get back to work at 7:30 tomorrow.
One thing's for certain: there's no way in hell I would ever want to live here. I'm not wealthy ($700k for a condo that's not even on the beach), I hate golf, and unless I'm drunk or stoned, I don't drive 40mph in the left lane.
