It was a dark and stormy night...

...when I got home from a bright and sunny day.

I actually just came home from seeing "The Fifth Element" at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. It was a lot of fun; not that the movie was any different (although the Blu-Ray looks great), but the audience was a riot.

Apparently , a whole brunch of gamers of all shapes and sizes (mostly large) came to the movie as well, and we managed to turn part of it into an audience participation show. There were a few well-timed responses to lines on the screen, lots off applause and laughter throughout, and generally jovial mood. When the movie stopped abruptly due to a power blip and they had to restart the player, they were all geeking out about the fact that they were playing the movie on a PlayStation 3, and there was quite a bit showing up on their hard drive.

What was a particular treat, and part of the reason why I'm posting this, is that a number of the people were talking about LiveJournal. It turns out that most of them are on LJ.
So I'm giving a special shout-out to the_dark_snack who was front and center in the audience and was good enough to give me her username. Hope you made it back from Steak 'n Shake before the storms hit. See you at RHPS in July!
