Today, I sort of binged. Breakfast (apple oatmeal) and lunch (6 inch veggie and cheese from Subway) were OK. However, after lunch, I went to Trader Joe's and bought a 1 lb bag of dessert cookies. Now a good chunk of the bag is gone, washed down with two big mugs of cocoa. Probably more calories in that snack than in my breakfast, lunch, and yogurt morning snack combined.
But enough about food. The Super Bowl lineup is set, and I have to say I really could care less about either team. Over the past three weeks, I have seen the four teams that I pay any attention to (Colts, Giants, Jets, Eagles) get knocked off by their own ineptitude, failure to bring an offense or maintain a defense, or just plain lapses in judgement (the fucked-up field goal, McNabb's intercepted pass). I'll watch the game, of course. It's NFL football, after all, and that sure beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick any day of the week. I just think I'll be paying more attention to the commercials than to the final score (my pick: Raiders 34, Tampa 20)
